WHAT DATA WE COLLECT?

OPAL may collect personal information from visitors, in particular when they contact customer service via contact forms. Two types of form are available: the first, intended for all visitors, asks for first name, surname and email address. The second, reserved for opticians wishing to obtain information on the Not For Kids© collection, requests additional information such as first name, last name, email, telephone number, Opal customer, city and country, in order to best direct the request to the appropriate contact.

WHY AND HOW WE USE YOUR DATA?

The acquisition of your personal information occurs on contact forms. This is essential for effective communication and answering your questions.

ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA

Only authorized persons within OPAL have access to your personal data. For our statistical analyses, we collaborate with Google always in compliance with the RGPD.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD

OPAL retains your personal data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described, plus the statutory limitation period. Your account data is kept for the duration of your membership and may be kept for three years after the last contact for commercial solicitations.

PERSONAL DATA SECURITY

In compliance with the RGPD, OPAL implements technical, physical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from alteration, damage or unauthorized access. We rigorously select our subcontractors and service providers to ensure the implementation of these security measures.

DATA TRANSFER OUTSIDE THE EU

OPAL's servers are located in France at OVH, and contain the databases necessary for the operation of our site. Although some of our statistical tools operate from the USA, data processed outside the EU is anonymized.

YOUR DATA RIGHTS

You have rights of access, rectification and deletion of your personal data, as well as the right to define directives for after your death, in accordance with data protection regulations. You may also request the restriction of the processing of your data or its portability, and object to processing based on OPAL's legitimate interests, including profiling, or withdraw your consent at any time.
